GD YS-Q

Had a demo day yesterday, was really impressed with the ys-Q in the 907D2. Does anyone have any experience with this shaft in other heads?

i play it in a Burner TP and i like it a lot. Switched from a 65 stiff PERSHING to a 55 stiff YS-Q and its the best thing i have done shaft wise in a while.

Just swapped the Graman 640 in my TW 460 for a YSQ65 stiff. Only one round in on a bad swing day. Will report more when I get 2 or 3 more rounds in.

Sounds good. Thinking about ordering a G10 driver and fwy with this shaft, as well as the hybrid shaft to put in my adams.

Just a FYI KR619JC but you may want to rethink getting this shaft in your hybrid.

I hit the Adams Insight XTD Pro hybrid at a local demo day the other day and didn't care for the shaft at all. It feels much different (and not in a good way) to my Adams Idea Pro with the VS Proto shaft.

I'm not trying to talk you out of it but I see from your signature that you also play the Idea Pro. If you like that combo, then this will be totally different as it's much more boardy IMHO than the Proto.

Again I'm not trying to dissuade you but I wanted you to know my experiences with this setup.

Were you hitting the hb/fwy wood? Because I think that has a lighter gram weight in it as the raw hybrid shaft from golfsmith. Also the adams rep wasn't at the demo day, ironically he was at the masters so i didn't get to test any of that.

Yes, I will say it felt boardier than most of the Japanese GD shafts I have tried (PT6, QuattroTech, etcs).

The second go around will be today. I'll post feedback again later. I had it cut 1/4" It was playing at 45". I play my drivers at 44.75".

Yep, the Hybrid/FW YSQ which has the 75 gram model just like the after market model.

ive hit the pros and they look soooooooo much better than the standard ones. the hybrid fairway was different but i could definitley get use to looking @ something that hit the ball that pure haha

Simply put......Beyond anything I could have thought going in. I cannot wait to get them in my bag, I LOVE the driver & got great distance from the hyb/fw. BARGINS with the YSQ shafts to boot

Sleepers of the year IMO

I'm looking at the XTDs too, The rep around here is a great guy and stands by the local players using his product and always to help when they need something.

If you don't mind me asking... whats the loft of your head, gramweight of the shaft, swingweight, club length and shaft flex?

Also- what kind of trajectory are you getting? If you have launch monitor #'s I would appreciate it!

The loft on the head is 9 degrees havent had it digitally checked and as well all know there is a tolerance with this driver, The gramweight im using on the shaft is the 65 which accually works out to 67 based on manuf. specs, Im playing at a d2 swingweight,

45" Long and the shaft is an X-Flex. I dont have any numbers on the lm yet hoping to go sometime this week if i can find time. The trajectory is much lower than my taylor made 425 tp was but with the tp i was hitting the ball very very high. With the g10 i still hit it high (not as high) but the thing i notice the most is that i get a lot of roll out of the combo wheras with the taylor made it usually stoped where it landed.
