Bethpage-which hole?

I think that every one of the five courses has a difficult hole. Here are my choices:

BLACK - it's hard to just pick out one because the whole course is so difficult

BLUE - as I said previously in an earlier post, #6

RED - #1 [i've played there many times and I personally have never seen anyone ON the green with their second shot. Left of the green or right of it but never on.] A 460 yard hole that plays 490.

GREEN - #2 with a green that one could 4-putt pretty easily especially if the pin is in the upper left

YELLOW - #13 par-three [You better hit a long straight ball]

What are yours?

I've only played the Green and Yellow so I can't comment on your other choices. I totally agree with you on #2 on Green. I actually did 4 putt the first time I played it. I think the fact that I had to wait 20 minutes to tee off on that hole broke my concentration a bit. The hole you are referring to on yellow is actually #14 not #13. It is about 180yds from the whites. It plays more like 190yds and people have a tendency to mishit the ball because they are going after it to get over the valley in between the tee box and the green. The trees really come into play on the left side, also.

The black has a ton of hard holes, for the red I would agree with number 1, and for the blue I would agree with number 6, you have to hit your drive over the corner just to have something within 200 yards. On the green number 2 has the toughest green but number 9 is a pretty tough hole too if its playing into the wind. Im not that familiar with the yellow so I cant really comment on it. One of my favorite holes on bethpage though is number 10 on green, there are so many options off the tee its great, in fact I would say 10-13 is a great stretch of holes

I play at Bethpage everyweek, actually played the Black yesterday. The greens were aerated last week thou, but still a wonderful day.

Here it goes:

Black - Number 5 is incredible. Need a 270 drive at least, down the rightside over bunkers that run the rightside of the fairway. Anything left and you will be blocked from the green. Uphill approach. 480 yards. Number 15 is no cake walk either. Toughest green on the course.

Red - Number 1 is an up hill Par 4 489 yards. I jhave actually birdied the hole and have reached it in two a bunch of times. But usually a bogey.

Blue - Number 6 is a big dog leg left Par 4 and yes your approach is in the 185 yard to 210 yard range

up hill. Tough hole.

Green - Number 2 because of the green (slopes left to right) and Number 17 is a long dog leg right Par 4.

Yellow - Is a nice walk in the park for everyone. Number 13 is a very nice par 3.

whats the hole on the black when you cross back over the road? I want to say 13, maybe 15 but its a long par 4 thats just flat then an uphill green thats super tough, I would say that is one of the tougher holes on the course

Black - #5 and #15

the 15th on the black by far.The 5th is long but the green is flat and the bunkers are not tough to get up and down.one side note about the 15th green, if they have the pin in the bowl in the front it makes the hole pretty simple as long as you hit into the bowl because every ball will roll towards the hole.

its hard to choose, but i think the 15th and 10th have to be the most difficult in my opinion, followed by #5. #5 is my favorite hole on the course...dogleg right off the tee over a slanted bunker which calls for a very strategic tee shot (how much are you gonna try to bite off) where you must hit the right side of the fairway to access the elevated green that doglegs to the left and is blocked by trees on the left. if you drive in the left side of the fairway you better have a high draw in your arsenal to hit the green. probably the best golf hole ive played...

Green #2: Two Putted for Bogey! :clapping: (It is a nasty green!)

This was my first time out @ Bethpage. All I can say is WOW. I can't wait to play the black course.

The tee shot for #1 on the red course looks fun until you look at the green :)

I saw Goose Gossett tee off at #1 @ Black. High Fade into the rough. haha.

Tee shot off #1 Green is awesome as well. I'm a sucker for elevated tees.

Bethpage made my local city course (Clearview) look shameful. For 3 bucks more (+ gas $$$$$$$$$$$$$) I can play one of the best public courses in the country.

I hope it stays a public track for a long long time.
