Woods and White/Blueboard Shaft Advice please

Hi guys, I'll try to keep this post as short as I can :D

 

 

Basically, I stopped playing golf for about 4-5 years and now I want to get back into it full time. I went to a fitter last week and when he and the people there saw my clubs he called them antiques... I've got a Callaway Hawk Eye 2 8.5 degree and a Callaway Great Big Bertha War Bird 3 wood. My irons are Titleist DCIs (not sure if that's the model but that's what they say). Putter I've got a Scotty Cameron Newport 2.

 

 

Anyways, I hit some balls on the launch monitor with my driver and 7 iron. Not sure how accurate the info will be since my clubs are so old. My average swing speed for the 7 iron was 92mph and average swing speed for the driver was 110mph. I do not really remember the info for the 7 iron but I remember some for the driver. My ball spin was 3000+ (I think close to 4000), carry distance about 250, and power transfer about 140. I'm 6 foot 1 or 2 and 170 lbs.

 

 

The fitter suggested AP2s with Project X 6.0 shafts, 1/4 inch longer, standard grip +1/32, and standard lie. Also going for the 54 and 58* Spin Milled Vokeys for wedges in the same configuration (shaft, length, grip, etc.). I'm fine with that but it's the woods I'm not sure about. I'm thinking about going with Titleist 907 D2 8.5* or 9.5* Driver and 906F4 15.5* Fairway. The thing I'm not sure about is the shaft. It seems like the White/Blueboards here get all the love and I'm pretty interested in those. I was thinking 83g x-stiff Whiteboard for the driver and 75g x-stiff Blueboard for the fairway wood (Titleist only offers the Blueboard made for Titleist on the 906F4).

 

 

Now I just have 3 questions:

 

1) Is the White/Blueboard too much shaft for my swing?

2) Do people generally use the same oversize grip configuration on their woods and irons?

3) How does my club configuration sound?

What did the fitter say about the Diamana shafts? What was recommended? The Diamana shafts are great but not for everyone. Did you hit a D2 and whiteboard combination? Do you have launch monitor numbers if you did?

He suggested a blueboard or ali islei with stiff flex. I did not get to hit a D2 and whiteboard combination.
