2008 nike one black

how does it compare to the 2007 model

pulled out a few black's that i had leftover from last year

and i noticed on the somewhat baked out courses near my house that this ball was longer by about 10 yards(with driver) when comparing it to the most recent nxt tour and the 08 taylor made tp black

i originally tried the nike black 07 model in florida last year and wasn't overly impressed on the heavily watered florida fairways - the nxt tour was longer for me

i am going to try and compare the 07 model with the 08 model but was wondering if anyone had already made the comparison

ALthough I have not played the new Nike Black or Platinum; I do remember that Nike stated that many tour pros who played the Platinum last year now are playing the Black.

 

 

The newer Platinums require higer swing speeds to get optimum advantage from the ball.

Not to sidetrack [too much] but how does it compare with the 2006 model? 2006 [but new] logo overruns are 23+shipping from GPP.

The 08 ball spins more around the greens a feels slightly softer. I find it to be the best blend of distance and feel. For what its worth, I DID NOT like the 07 Black at all and pretty much gave a dozen away I disliked it so much. Bought a sleeve of the 08 version a few weeks ago, and now its my primary ball. Just bought a few dozen to get me through the season and thats with a couple dozen premium balls sitting on my self. They are that good.
