I told you so LOL

I couldn't resist. I've been on the Dimarco band wagon for so long and finally he comes thru. He had to do it in the Dubia but a win is a win.

Although not US PGA Tour event, the field was of vey high quality: Vijay (world no 2) lot of good Euros like Björn, Monty (world 10) and Garcia (world 6) and Stenson is man of the future who scored well against the best in the latest WGC events and will certainly be on the next Ryder Cup team. I'm sure DiMarco will appreciate the win!

What I don't like about this win is the tendency we have here in Europe.

It seems everytime a PGA tour guy comes to Europe to participate in a tourney he proceeds to win.(Of course those guys who are regular guests on this tour don't ALWAYS win...) That doesn't really establish the European Tour as the Quality Tour it actually is!

We have so many good Players and upcoming stars but.... Hensby at the Scandinavian Masters last year: Veni Vidi Vici

Dimarco Abu Dhabi same story... that really is a shame....

Other than that I have watched DiMarco for years now really wishing he would win again. I'm glad he did it, seems to be a good guy. I like players with personality and passion, fist pumping after each holed birdie-putt.

I liked the way he handeled the win!

Chris is a class guy all the way. I don't care what tour it is if you have somethere that wins who is the caliber of a Chris Dimarco, Phil Mickelson, Sergo Garcie or VJ you have a strong field and some great golf to watch.

But i kind of know where you are coming from, its like in Nascar racing when a Nextel cup driver goes and wins A busch series race.

However, with the caliber of players the europeean tour has I wouldn't be too upset, The european tour has a very xtrong field and is not a second rate tour to anyone.

I agree, but certainly might look that way...

And yes it was some GREAT golf to watch, I enjoyed it more than the final round of the hope this year...

I can't help but think a part of this win should go to AMY DiMARCO, Chris' wife, who was caddying for him last week. :huh:

EVERY TIME they showed her - she was smiling and giving Chris positive affirmations. I can't help but think that this helped calm his mind for this tournament. Is it true - behind every great man - there's a great Woman? Guess so!! (cool)

Exactly! My wife and I were watching the final round yesterday morning. She said "He has a female caddy?" and I responded, "yeah it's his wife." She says, "They must have a strong marriage...".

I liked how she was carrying a Ping Hoofer Extreme bag yesterday and not a PING Staff bag.
