Lehman TM 300 Tour Irons

First off, I am not a Lehman expert by any means. Saw these on ebay and thought I'd pass along the info since I know several on Golfwrx like these clubs. I assume they are legit and I do not know the seller.

what is the difference between a normal Lehman set and the 2mm set Lehman? the 2mm aids what? a sweeper for instance?

2mm is the offset.

 

I can remember whe I first got sucked into these heads. I fell victim the hype from the Golf forums. All the seasoned veteran members were claiming "Holy Grail" and I was hook line and sinker. Nothing wrong with that, but ut is true. I had to have a set. Period.

 

Sence then I have had a few sets come and go. Never a offset 2mm though.

 

As far as sole grinds and such with these heads. I have heard the sole grind on the lehmans had a grind in the leading edge that would aid a digger. Meaning it would deflect or resist the promotion of the sole from carving deeper into the ground. I dont agree. I have had many sets, and the only thing I can see is a little softness on the front edge. So small I seriously doubt that it could help a digger. The more and more I compare these sole grinds with other heads, the more pronounced the sole designs look. No bounce! Thin soles like a blade.

 

Honestly. The design of the soles suggest that you need to be a good ball stricker. The lack of bounce will demand that you hit the ball first or pay the price.

 

Other observations about the Lehmans I am aware of. Toplines are thinker than the retail 300 forged, the cavity is .050 thicker than the retails, sole grinds are simular to retail. They had to add back the weight removed from the toe to the cavity and toplines.

 

market price varies from 800.00 to 1200.00 chrome and 1200 to 1500 for satin. Low end as of late. Mint or 9+ out of 10 can get more. Just my opinion.
