I contacted this guy a few weeks ago about adding my course. Doesn't look like anything else has been added. This App is a great idea however I can't imagine the GPS from the iPhone being anywhere near as accurate the Golf GPS devices. I wouldn't hold out for this.

What is the source of your assumption that the IPhone GPS would be less accurate that the Golf GPS? Iphone uses BCM 4750 chipset which according to GPS analysts out performs SIRFIII & MTK chipset in tracking sensitivity(-162 dbm to about -159dbm for sirfIII & MTK). SirfIII & MTK are the leading chipsets in standalone GPS receivers.

 

In general the standalone GPS receiver chipset available today is easily a few years ahead of the Golf GPS chipsets. Remember, the basic commercial non golf GPS chipsets used in navigation have to to accurate at 150+mph (Non commercial aviation applications). I use a MTK chipset & an older SIRFIII chipset receiver which can hit about 7 - 9 satellites inside the Golf cart glove compartment. The other big advancement of these newer chipsets is power consumption.

 

There are some really simple but elegant GPS software available on the WM platform, and it is a matter of time they start to appear on iPhone(in spite of Apple's insistence on controlling everything that goes on an iphone!!!!).
