Hooks are a lot less severe with PX.

Is it the Shaft?

I've been playing the PX 6.0 for the last 4 months coming from only using TT DG and my buddy has the same PX also. What we have noticed is that when we put a bad hook swing on it we are use to some 20 to 25 yard hook. Its like big time left. Well ever since I got these new sticks and these shafts. When I put a bad hook swing on it, I would be like ohh crap that this is gong waaaaaaaaay left.. and you know what it doesn't. Ya it hooks, but it seem to hook half as much. We have seen this multiple times. Its like the ball went into the bunker instead of going left of the bunker.

I have read many reviews on the PX and nothing I have read said this was a nice benefit. . Is the shaft doing this? or is it the AP2? I don't think is the head.

Has anybody else noticed this?

Its possible that the 6.0s are playing stiffer than what you previously had in the TT DG.

Sounds like thats it, it's harder to hook a stiffer shaft.

That could be, I was playing the S300 Stiff before. I don't find the PX harder to hook, it just doesn't hook as much. The thing I notice the most is that the ball flight, you look at it and its like it starts to hook then it like levels out and doesn't hook anymore. With my S300 the hook was going and it kept going, it didn't level out. Is that because of the stiffness of the shaft or is that because the PX spins less?

I totally agree with you. I have also recently switched from s300 to PX 6.0. The hooks are much less severe. I also agree with the other poster that mentioned it is probably due to the fact they are a stiffer shaft. Whatever the cause, I will never go back to DG s300 again.

I agree, never go back to S300. The 6.0 seem perfect. Not as stiff as X100 something in between the two.

I agree. And believe me I can hook rebar!

You will also find that the ball flies truer in a cross wind. It is all related to the launch properties of the PX shaft. But each of us load and swing them differently and hooks and slices are always a possibility. I also agree the 6.0 are more stout then S300 which will reduce your side spin as well.

While PX isn't for everyone I'm glad they are working for you and good luck.
