Low Spin Driver + Low Spin Ball or High Spin Ball??

I am new here and am glad to be part of this wonderful community!

 

My new topic is .....

 

My ball flight for my current driver(Super Quad TP Tour Van 9.5*) had been very high.. I somewhat get it lower when I play a e6+ which is suppose to help reduce spin off a driver.. however, I have difficult getting the right touch around the green....I generally plays a Pro V1x.

 

Yesterday, I tried a fellow players callaway hyper x, which from the golf digest hot list, shown as a low spin driver. I tried it with my usual Pro V1x, the flight was boring, dispersion was very good (less) but the distance wasn't great.

 

BUT... when I played with a one platimum, the flight is also boring, dispersion is also very good, but the distance and roll was good!!!

 

Did I just fond my best combination???

I hit the Hyper X driver in a simulator and I thought it was great. The spin rate was much lower than that of my TM Burner. Are you considering buying the Hyper X?

bought it!

 

I bought the Hyper X with the Fujikura Rombax 55series Stiff 9*.

 

It was really great, setup was easy and the shaft is really stable.

 

It was no fluke, went out today with ProV1x(my usual ball), Pro V1 and One Platinum. One platinum is still the best combination!

 

The Hyper X was easy, off centered hit still goes a long way and the ball flight is very predictable.

 

I am a very very happy go'fer..
