SHAFT HELP PLEASE

Hi all I'm new to the forum, I'd like some advice regarding what sort of shaft I should be using in my driver. I currently have a Taylor Made Tour Burner 9.5* with a stock tiff shaft. My clubhead speed is around 106-110MPH but i did have a few swings up to 115MPH ish when I stepped on them. My launch is around 14-15* with a spin rate of 3500-4000RPM (i know this is way too high). I want to bring my spin rate down as I'm sure that I'm losing distance especially into the wind. I was thinking of changing to an Epic X stiff shaft but keeping the length at 45.5" to soften it up a little.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

maybe an Epic Stiff. the Epic X is very stout.

 

also may want to go to the golf store and try some TB TP's with the Diamana S and Rombax X on the launch monitor. may be able to just trade up.

I agree with Klew, the Epic X is as flexible as a telegraph pole. The Diamana is a good choice but quite expensive. I would suggest you get a proper fitting before parting with hard earned cash. Keeping the length 45.5 helps swingspeed but at the expense of control. UST V2 in Stiff 85g may be a cheaper option.

I have an epic 68X tipped one inch in my Tour Burner TP and love it! I had the rombax X75 and could not launch it high enough and the spin was to low. The Epic is an incredible shaft from what I have played with it so far. Go epic and you won't be disappointed!
