Whats the difference between x5ct and g4t

Hi, I have a D73g x5ct X-flex whiteboard flower band and I just seen a whiteboard with D73 g4t just wondering if there is a difference between the two shafts and if there is what is it? Thanks for the help

Main difference is the g4t has a 4" parallel tip section whereas the x5ct has a 3's parallel tip section. All things being equal, the x5ct will play a little stiffer than the g4t in similar flexes.

The G4T is a .350 Tip and used for the OEMs. The X5CT designates that it is a Tour shaft (essentially what all the Mitsubishi dealers get as well as what the tour players play) and the original mitsubishi diamana shaft. You've got the good shaft.

Sorry, but this is not correct. The g4T is a 4 inch parallel tip and is 0.335 and is usually used in bore through heads. The x5ct is 3 inch parallel tip and is 0.335, the 5ct stand for 5 carats and has nothing to do with whether it is tour or not. The g35t is a 3inch parallel tip and 0.350 diameter.

I have an X5CT I got from Japan and its a .350 tip? The guy gave me my money back and I am sending the shaft back, but it sure looks real.

x5ct = .335 diameter, 3 inch parallel tip. Usually find these as after market shafts.

g4t = .335 diameter, 4 inch parallel tip. Mostly used by OEM for driver head designs with some sort of bore through or blind bore.

g35t = .350 diameter, 3 in parallel tip. Mostly used by OEM for driver heads with .350 hosel.

 

All 3 are "real" Diamana. Some people mistaken the g4t as "fake" Diamana because it plays almost a full flex weaker due to the extra inch of tip length.

Callaway's "diamana" is a G4T and a .350 tip. I have one in my FT-5 and it's not a .335 Tip. When I was at the Barclays, I saw the Mitsubishi Tour Rep and asked her about the OEMs and X5CTs for my own knowledge. MOST OEMS are manufactured in CHINA (G4T , G35T, etc.) while all X5CTs are manufactured in Japan and "ONLY what the tour players play". To many enthusiasts' disappointment, myself included, the composites of X5CT are "NOT THE SAME" as OEM Branded Diamanas such as what I have in my FT-5! Straight from the horses mouth!
