ball monitor Callaway tour ix

I have played the Titleist Pro V1x for about a year now and i thought it was the best ball for me. I got on a ball monitor (to tell you what the best ball is for you) and the results were kind of surprising. I hit 11 with the Pro V1x and 11 with the Callaway Tour ix. It ended up that i averaged 10 yds more distance with the Callaway (from 281 yds with the PV1x to 291 with the Callaway). The spin is what was really drastic. With the Pro V1x the RPM was 3300, with the Callaway tour ix it was 2800. When the results were printed out it ended up that the Titleist ProV1x was #5 on my list. I would recommend anyone looking to improve their game to get on this monitor. I think a ball change is coming in the near future for me.

Thanks for your feedback...I just have a couple of questions for you?

1) Who performed the test for you? A OEM rep or was this at a off-course/GG Facility?

2) What balls were used for this test? How many balls since Pro V1x came out 5th?

Just wondering how the test was performed.

To me the most important part of finding the right ball is how it acts around the green, to try a new ball I practice with it in and around the greens with the putter and half shots. If I like it I see how it acts off the irons then the driver but distance isn't really my greatest concern. Hope the Callaway works out for you, it is a top ball

Of course not all balls work the same for all people, but that being said - that is about the same results that I found testing on a monitor and on-course. In fact, I switched from my beloved Srixon ZRC's to the Callaway iX and gained about 8-10. The Pro Vx was a little shorter than both the Srixon ZURS and ZURC. I noticed only a slight distance change on the irons (as I only swing 80% anyways with the irons) and no spin change over the other balls.

The test was administered at Golf Galaxy by one of their trained reps. I hit the 11 with the ProV1x and he took a a look at the ball test (b/c i was also on the swing monitor with a 905r 7.5* which i bought), and it showed right away that the Callaway Tour ix was #1 so i hit that and the numbers were as i stated above. The Nike One Black was #2 on the list. #3 was Nike One Platinum. #4 was Callaway Tour i. And #5 was the ProV1x.
