Bridgestone e6+ balls.....NICE

While looking for a ball I shanked into the woods I found a Bridgestone e6+ ball that was brand new. I decided to play it. These balls are NICE and have a much better feel than any ball I have played yet. I picked up a box of them in the pro shop after my round. I have only played most of the Rock Flight balls (Gamer, Freak, Soft, ect) and I started to play the ProV1s which I really liked but they are a tad $$$. The Bridgestone is a happy medium. Super soft feel, and priced decent.

The e6+ is an EXCELLENT golf ball if you dont require a TON of spin....

They're great! very reasonably priced, great feel off irons and the putter. they're long, but they don't spin much.

 

but i've decided to stick to second hand pro v1's as new ones are a bit $$$ as the Op said. and besides that, quality second hand Pro V1's are better around the greens than brand new E6+'s...

I started to keep track of how many times I needed "a lot of spin" like a 30 yard chip/pitch to a pin in the front of the green and shots like that and I decided that I need straighter shots more often than high spin shots. The E6 does go further/straighter off of the driver for me and off of irons which means more since I hit these shots many many more times per rounds than the shot that requires a ton of spin. Plus the more fairways and greens I hit the less spin I will need because I will already be on the green. There is a tradeoff, if I were hitting a 4 iron from 190 yards into a tight green then there is a good chance that the ball will roll off of the green or past the flag but I do not have to make that shot very often. I am an 8 handi and am thinking about sticking with this ball for a while, I usually use the 330S. I shot a 37 the other day on my front nine and the lack of spin helped me around the greens with chips since I usually leave them short.

I am a big fan of the B-stone balls. E6+ is good. E5 is decent too. I must say I enjoy the way the rockinar stumbled upon the E6+.....I am suffering from the hosle rockets too.

Great ball off the tee, but I found them to roll a bit too much on approach.

Nice ball for the price. Excellent distance off the tee. However, I find the e5+ to be just as long off the tee and much better on approach shots. I must say though that the e6+ is easier to control off the tee if your having a problem finding the fairway. If that's not a problem, i would go with the e5+ due to spin control and greenside manners. Currently a 9 index with 90mph swing speed.
