hey guys,

im thinking about switching to the kbs tours. what does a 6.5 compare to in dg's and project x's? also, what can i expect to see with these that i wouldnt with project x or dg. launch comparisons/feel

I have built a few sets with KB Tours for clients and can give some general observations. The KB's will feel very headlight compared to the Project X's as they are counterbalanced...they will feel a little lighter than the DG's. You will probably have to add some swing weight back to get the balance that you are used to. However, b/c they are counterbalanced, the KB's work really well in over-length applications. Every set of KB's that I have come across has frequencied higher than the stated frequency (i.e. x's come out b/t 7.0-7.3 on the Brunswick machine). As for performance, the KB's have a more active tip/mid section than DG for sure and more motion to them than PX so you will see and increase in spin and shot height. I personally did not care for the feel, but some like it and some don't...what else is new. The players that I built sets for coming from DG's found them too whippy (b/c of softer profile), but the Rifle players in general seemed to like them OK.
