Flighted rifle vs. Project X

Hey guys,

 

Im just about to order a set of Titleist ZM blades and was thinking of getting project x 6.0's in them as I hit the project x in the ap2's with such a consistant trajectory.

 

I currently have std rifle flighted 6.5 in my titleist 735cm's and feel very comfortable with the flight. Would you suggest I go with Project X flighted or std project X, or even just get rifle flighted in the blades?

 

Unfortunatley in my area, we have very few demo products available so I cannot demo a Titleist ZM with the various rifle/project x shafts.

 

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!!

Very dangerous to assume that a shaft that works in one head will work the same in the another.

 

Not sure if your old set are .355 hosel. If they are, you could order with PX 6.0 and if they aren't working for you pull the old shafts and put them in.

 

What have you tested in the ZM's?

The PX performs great, but feels harsh, esp. in forged heads. I played the PX last season in the MP-57 and after driving range sessions

I really hated this shaft. The standart Rifle plays much smoother, but from my experience the best shaft for a forged head is the DG.

i have hit the PX in the ZM/ZB blades and thought they felt great... they were also 7.0's

I had PX 5.5 in a set on Mizuno MP-67s and thought they were a bit harsh. I have PX Flighted 5.5 in my Titliest 660s and they feel great. Very smooth and I get a very consistent ball flight out of them (100ish SS).

That was another consideration for me. 735 are .355 hosel
