Need Help with Color Golf Guru

I just received a new Color Golf Guru for Christmas and am anxious to use it but I can't seem to download any courses to the device. Device says "No courses found!" Do I need some special software or something because I can't download from the gpsgolfguru.com website. I was looking forward to this gift. I hate to be dissapointed!! Anyone know what the issue is about downloading courses? Is there supposed to be some software that comes with the device??? Please Help.

Did you go through the "Getting Started" tab on their website and download the Setup Wizard for the Guru Utility?

I did go through the getting started tab and tried downloading the guru tool but nothing was downloaded.....That's why I'm wondering if there was supposed to be some software in the box with the unit????

You will not be able to download your courses until you get the utility on your computer. It sounds like a computer problem and not a guru problem. If you have gone through all the steps listed in the getting started section and still can not download the utility give them a call tomorrow and they will be able to walk you through and solve your problem.

I just tried to download it to check if it is working and it downloaded in under 45 seconds. All you have to do is click on your operating system in step 3 (windows or mac) and it should load. Your firewall might be blocking the download. Hope this helps.

It sounds like from what you are saying, I shouldn't be expecting any software in the mail package...That I can download it from the website....But where exactly is the download button on the gpsgolffuru site?...I don't see it in the getting started tab.... Worst case, I'll call them in the morning.

Under step three: http://www.gpsgolfguru.com/home/getting-started you will see a Windows and Apple logo. Click on the Windows logo to download the utility to your PC.

Try that link, it'll take you directly to downloading the windows version. Just save and install the utility.

I assume you have already registered the unit on the Golf Guru site and selected the courses you wish to download? Then it is just a matter of having the Utility installed, connecting the Guru to your PC via the USB cable, and then running the Utility. Any courses you have selected for download (they must be "checked" on your My Guru page) will download automatically once you click on the "Synch" button on the Utility.

I emailed customer support and they responded last night.......On Christmas Nite.....Can you beleive it!!!!!!

Glad you got it worked out. You have one of the best units on the market, I'm sure you will enjoy it.
