Anyone play it recently?

I was talking to a couple guys today, and they told me it was in excellent shape. Thinking of make the trip out there next week to break in the new clubs. Anyone else played out there recently?

I'm on the Montgomery Golf team and Blaketree is one of our practice courses. Its a very nice course, just a little rough around the edges. I like this course but it is challenging. The greens are faaaaaaaaaasssssttt if they just cut them. It's set on a man's land that he turned into a golf course. It's setting is beautiful, I think you'll enjoy it.

Thanks for the info. I have never played there before, but I have always heard great things about it. The guys I was talking to said the greens were like an 11 yesterday.

hey all,

ill be in college station, tx area next week and was hoping to check out the course also. is the course fairly booked? or single players can get on easily?

anyone know good public courses around college station, tx besides pecan lakes? there are plenty of country clubs around in college station, but none allows public to play.

You'll be able to get on easily. Play High Meadow Ranch while you are out that way.

Blaketree is in the best shape it has been in for a long time. The greens are much better ... spotty in places but overall a huge improvement.

They still have some rain & wind damage from the hurricane but nothing that is in play.

It has some elevation changes & can be quite the challenge depending on weather & wind. The greens have more slope/undulation than most in Houston as well.

I'm out there several times a month. The pros are really great guys.

The team played out there in mid-November, I swear the greens were rolling like a 13, CRAZY FAST. Greens are hilly, touch and go, and insanely hard! Better know how play a lot of roll when you hit your approach.
