Is the Odyssey logo blacked out due to his contract? Seems like everyone knows it's an odyssey.

I recently got the Microhinge Jailbird 380 and the Odyssey logo is red, which pops out at address. I could see why he would black it out, it's really the only point of color on the club that's not black or white so it is distracting.

I assume it is contract related. Anything obvious or likely to be picked up by cameras has been blacked out. 

 

But, of course, it's obvious for those in the know. How's any golfer going to misidentify the OEM on that stick?

You can somewhat see it at address, depending on the loft that you're setting the putter down at. I'll upload a picture later

There's a lot going on here

• Red logo still slightly showing
• The face milling(?) looks janky especially towars the bottom right
• Why are some missing their paint fill? 
• Uneven spacing on the right column between the dots/milling and the border line edging

There is no milling or paint fill on these. There are metal “micro hinges” that protrude through the face insert. No room for them in that spot due to the shape of the insert.

well… it is a callaway putter.

It's just enough that you can see the red from address. (Putter face is closed + lofted forward so you can see it in the camera.)

Definitely bored, but we're looking for the reason why Rickie might have blacked out the logo, and it's not contractual... So he's just that picky about the colors at address 🤷‍♂️

Yes, not sure of the exact length but it’s much shorter than his old JB.

Has nothing to do with contract otherwise the Odyssey logo on the back wouldn’t be there, just an issue with the red spot being visible at address.
