Garmin Approach G5 Course Updates Will be Slow

I contacted Garmin (again) asking about course updates.

The rep that contacted me said "your course is on the list and will be included in our Summer or Fall update."

The only way I could describe my reaction, is :fool: :shok: :fool: :shok:

I replied and asked if I read it right, and she said yes, we will be doing big updates rather than incremental updates.

I guess this means:

1. Garmin doesnt need the business
2. No "Map Your Course in 4 Days"
3. I aint buying a Garmin

Our updates are not provided on a course by course basis at this time.
We are working towards larger updates on a quarterly basis.

So there will not be updates as the courses are added, only quarterly
Summer and Fall updates? That's a very long time with your

Looks like it will be slooooooow going, but eventually when they get my local on, I am going with the Garmin G5.

Im inclined to agree with you, but the waiting is the hardest part ;)

 

the thing that pisses me off is they have every dog track around here, and every other course I play around here, but my local isnt on it.

 

of course, NONE of the Southern CA military base courses are on it, so that might have a bearing on it.
