I live & die by my Check-Go Pro. Won't play without spinning my GOLF balls (sorry - sounded weird otherwise) first!

Plenty of opinions on this board already on this subject. I'll summarize that:

(1) the "equator" of the ball is consistant.....comes back to the same spot every time on every ball

(2) I'll use every "advantage" I can get

Opinions are like.....well, you know the rest. But there are plenty of us that will not play without a ball that is spun & marked first.

What the heck - it's only $20 - $30 for the unit.....and I know I've pissed away more than that on items that gained me NO advantage (mental or not).

+1, with the exception that I've found a very few balls that won't return to the same balance point.

Same here, used it for years now. I works best on the green with the line and watch it roll true.

Same here. I use a dry erase board thin marker in the check go then go back over with a sharpie to make a small line. Then I wipe off the dry erase board marker so I'm left with a short .5" - .75" line vs the line all the way around the ball. Point the line at my target, line the putter up and go.... :partytime2:

Just picked one up, and I'm having a hard time getting a nice line while spinning. Anyone have some tips?

I use a dry erase board thin marker held horizonally pressed in lightly in the check go then I go back over with a sharpie to make a small line. Then I wipe off the dry erase board marker with a damp towel so I'm left with a short .5" - .75" line vs the line all the way around the ball. To make my final sharpie line I use a Line M Up golf ball marker.

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a try. I can never get a nice solid line on the ball, using the supplied marker. I get dashed lines around the ball, and if I push harder it moves the ball. The only good thing is that I've have a bunch of old top fights to practice on :)

Yes, my dry erase board markers put dashes around the ball as they get older and worn out. Go over it with a sharpie about .5" to .75" then wipe off the original white board wet markers.

These work well in the check go and easy to wipe off

I've had one since they first came out, and now have the '2nd' version. Not the pro. What happens some times is the ball will begin to wobble when left in there for more than ~20 seconds. What causes that and is my device defective? I love the idea of finding the equator and sweet spot of the ball but I'm not sure if I'm getting it.
