Charity Tournament Using woods and blades.

Hi all, I'm new here so let me know if I'm posting this in the wrong spot.

I would like to get a Tournament organized where the participants use persimmon woods and blade MB irons. I'm thinking Maryland National, Whiskey Creek or Musket Ridge.

The charity will be to be determined by the group once we have been assembled.

This project is in its fledgling stage, so any interest is appreciated.

My charity of choice has to involve children.

I think it would be cool if stiff collars and no ball caps could be the dress code.

Sounds interesting and either of those two courses would be great choices, maybe with an edge to Whiskey Creek since they have an cabin style clubhouse. But I love both courses. I have the blades, Titlest Tour Model's from like 1993 I believe. Although I got rid of my persimmon driver and 3 wood about 5 years ago. So would there be an opportunity to rent or borrow woods if you need them, or will you have to have your own?

I think you'll definitely get some interest in this, I don't know if it will be 100 plus players that you usually see for fundraisers, but hey start small and it may grow.

Good question on the woods. I have about 20, 15 of which are drivers. I could loan them out, if I can hold an ID. They are mostly refinished Macgregors. Balata or 50 compression only.

I will post this in the mid-Atlantic outing sections too.

I would be happy with 40 people and a business sponsor for every hole, otherwise any profit would just go into the prizes.

I don't have a date yet as I need to hear if enough people are interested, but I was thinking late October.
