I figured that I would just start over with my WITB. I really enjoy GolfWRX, but I hate the fact that it makes me constantly want to change my bag. I used to play a fair amount of tournament golf and loathed changing equipment (Somehow I think that changing equipment frequently will compensate for the time I don't spend practicing). Now I feel like if I pull it out of the plastic that it is already time to try something else. I thought I was set with my last bag, but than I won the wedge contest and broke my driver. Enough said, here is my bag.

Driver: Taylormade R9 9.5º w/ Motore 70. I haven't actually had a chance to hit this yet. I had an R7 Limited that I sent in for warranty purposes and this is what I received back. My only concern is the shaft. I was previously playing a Proforce V2 in my Limited, so we will see how this compares.

Hybrid: Taylormade Rescue TP 17º w/ Voodoo SVS8. This is a solid club, but this is the spot in the bag that is most likely change at any given time. The Adams Pro Black is looking very tempting.

Irons: Titleist 735.CM w/ DGS300. These have been in the bag for about 3.5 years. Nothing too flashy but they get the job done.

Wedges: Callaway X-forged 51º, 55º, and 60º. (Thank you GolfWRX, Callaway, and Roger Cleveland). For more info and pictures look at this link: Custom Callaway Wedges

Putters: I am currently rotating two putters. The first is an Odyssey White XG #9. I have had it for almost 3 years now. It had been on the shelf for a while, but I recently added a lot of tape to get it to about 345-350 grams. It is 33 inches and has been making a lot of putts recently, so it stays in the bag. Next is a 'Bettizuno' C0-3. I have used it faithfully (until recently) for the past couple of years. I imagine it will be back in the bag as soon as the Odyssey cools down.

Headcovers: Football season is upon us so Sparky goes back in the bag. I know that most people thing it is treasonous of me to put an Odyssey cover on my Bettinardi, but I have to say that I really like the Odyssey covers. I like that they are a little smaller than most covers and I like the magnetic closure. Plus, it doesn't hurt that they are cheaper than most covers.

Well, that is my bag.

You should go get one of the Sparky putter headcover for your Bettinardi. It is not magnetic closure style but it works great. I had one when I used to play blade putter.

If only I did putt as nice as it looks. It has been a very good putter for me. It is in a brief timeout, but I am sure it won't last long. Sometimes I feel myself getting too mechanical with my putting. When that happens I like to pull out the Odyssey in order to get a little more tempo and flow in my stroke.

Once upon a time fairway woods were my friends, than we had a horrible falling out. I have just found that a good hybrid is much more versatile for me. Although I am not ruling out going back to fairway woods. In fact, I always keep my trusty i3 nearby just in case I am going to be playing a really long course. I don't play really long courses too often, so I just never feel like I really need to have a fairway wood in the bag. Off the deck I hit this hybrid about 225, which is usually perfect. I figure if I have more than left to a par 5 that I am better off just laying up anyway. I also have a 20º Idea Pro that makes occasional appearances. It just doesn't work out distance wise for me in my bag, which is why if the new Pro Black is similar to the old Idea Pro I am going to have to give it some serious consideration as a replacement for the current Rescue.

I changed things up a little bit. I have added a 15* TM V-Steel with an Aldila Prototype 85. Also, the Bettinardi is back in the bag and I have a couple of Idea Pros that I am working with that might go in the bag.

I have made a few minor changes to the bag and snapped a few new pictures. I recently picked up a Titleist 909F3 18° fairway. I like the deep face off of the tee and the added loft helps quite a bit from the fairway.

Also I have snapped some pictures of my current putter rotation. Right now I have the Anser 4 in the bag. It and the Mizuno TPM 2 each play 34". The Mizuno Bettinardi plays 35". Each putter has a Pingman on it.

Simple but solid set up, love it. Nice to see people still using the old school Ping putters... I have a B60 from around the same time myself, although it isn't being used.

Hopefully you got rid of that dreadful Sparky headcover. Wilbur would be a much more attractive option :P

No new clubs, but I have changed the setup a little bit. Here is the current setup.

Driver: R9 9.5˚
3-wood: V-Steel 15˚ with Aldila NV 85
Hybrid: Adams Idea Pro 20˚ with Aldila VS Proto 80
Irons: Titleist 735.CM DGS300
Wedges: Callaway X-Forged 51˚, 55˚, 60˚
Putter: Odyssey White Hot XG #9

I love my 735s. I have no desire at all to change them. I bought them when they were first released and I haven't looked back. I love that it is easy to control the trajectory with the short irons and easy to get the ball in the air with the mid and long irons.
