I don't have the Flat Back but I do own the VEGA T.50MBBK. From my understanding the Yururi's are forged by Kyoei Golf so, therefore, the two should be fairly similar other than the muscle back. I have short description on my WITB thread.

I've had the flatbacks for 9 months shafted with X100 and they are a joy to play. The leading edge grind doesn't dig at all and the PW profile fits the rest of the set. As you might expect, the feel is awesome and I've been surprised how forgiving they are too.

I spoke to Made In Japan Golf and they tell me an option for new conforming grooves will be available in the new year

No, they don't look like shovels at all. Pretty consistent through the set.
I might have to take a look at Vega's and Yururi's when conforming grooves are available. Anywhere in the states carry them?
Yes. I got mine from High Launch Golf. They are located in Virginia.

i spoke to the maker of these today and he said the yururi tour and seida wedges are conforming box(U) grooves, they have passed. the others in the line have to be re done.
as for the flat back irons , these are def not buckets they are the complete opposite , thin no offset they are a soft feeling very small head , thin top line, small sole , and "au naturale" looking which causes them to rust very easily. the pw fits the set perfectly. i think they play superbly and on hard pan lies like in australia. they are really good. i use them predominantly on the links courses bec they have a low penetrating flight. due to the midlde weighted muscle and they work the ball enormously, u can move balls with these just by looking at them pretty much!
(my misshits tend to go kilometers off the mark rather than feet. but when u get it right phew they are gooooood.) so id not recomend these to high handicappers or weak iron players. that said ,i love em and i go str8 to them for comp. play.they were designed for japanese tour palyers so keep that in mind , if ur after a good top end iron then these are right up there with the all the top dogs that ive played

Raw like the Zodia US SPEC. These are such low maintennance clubs....they will rust a little, but not much. I pray Miura comes out with a raw set some day. Even better would be a BLACK raw set like these. The look won't change much from the day you get them new. The surface rust comes right off. SOS and you have a brand new iron head again.

I would get a set of the proto's instead! Some sutble differences and I believe the sole of the protos has an anti-dig grind. I have posted pics of mine in this forum. Yururi has gotten approval for the new groove regulations. A little side note, there is virtually no tolerence in the grooves. They are at the maximum allowed down to the upteenth thousandth of a millimeter!

Also, no need to worry about the new grooves unless you play professionally or ultra high level amateur!

God Bless
Jer
