miura clubs question

so i've been on the forums for a little bit and for japanese clubs, looks like people are really into miura clubs. i want to try these out since i think it's time for me to upgrade from my titleist 804os forged irons. looking for some blades and maybe a cavity back but really digging the muscle backs. i'm in california but i'm not sure if these are that high in demand because i've been to a lot of my local golf shops and none of them have miura clubs. any help or suggestions as to where i can find some of these at good prices?

Well, if you go to their website ww.miuragolf.com, they do have a list of dealers listed by states. That's probably your best starting point in order to locate a dealer with any sort of actual clubs for you to look at.

Note that Miura is more a boutique manufactorer as compare to your OEM, they really don't carry any ready made sets. All sets are really made on order basis and their office / assembling facility is right here in Vancouver, Canada. Therefore, you really won't find any ready made stock around your normal golf dealers for you to look at.

As for purchasing, if you already know exactly what you want, I strongly suggest that you call Miuragolf up directly (there's a 1-866 number) and talk to Bill Holowaty directly. You won't find any cheaper price than to go directly to the company, and yes they do take retail orders. But mind you, since you're retail customer rather than their dealer, you might have to wait a tat longer for your clubs.

If you don't know what you really want or need, you might be better off going to a dealer directly and get a fitting done. Miura will pretty much go with whatever shaft option you want that there's a very wide variety of choice and that you may benefit from a fitting session from one of the dealer.

Just a note, there's no extra charge for any custom length, lie, loft angle adjustment if you order directly through Miura.

Hope all these helps.

thanks for the information. helped a bunch. i'm going to give them a call and see what's up. i should probably get myself fitted sooner or later. i'm the type of guy that likes to look at the club and feel it in my hands before i buy. hopefully i'll get some help with the call i'm going to make. thanks again.

I recently purchased Miura Tournament Blades. I was unsure of who sold them so I called the company directly (number listed at www.miuragolf.com). I talked with Ted Cotter and he helped me out. I ordered a 6-iron to try and once I liked it, I filled out the rest of the set working through Ted. I have since ordered the KM-350 Putter from Ken at Victory Custom Golf (South Carolina) and the Y-grind and C-grind wedges at Golf Coast On-line (Nick). This worked out great for me. I will say as other posters mentioned, these aren't mass produced, so don't expect any great deals on price. What you can expect is a great quality product.

There's a separate Miura line made for the US and Japan, both are forged in Japan.
If you're in the san diego area, you can try my Miura's.
I have the Japanese CB-2006. i feel this is the best of the bunch for player's cavity backs.
A comparable US version would be the CB-202. Those are excellent as well.
I just like the W sole grind on the CB-2006 more.
The Tournament blades are nice but you have to have a good game to be consistent with those.
Do a search here and on tourspecgolf, you'll find a lot of information.
I believe there are some boutique shops in the Orange County/LA area that may have some clubs in stock.
You'll have to do a search.

PM PlayersEdge here on golfwrx. His name is Ted and has great knowledge of Miura. I am not sure if he's same Ted as posted above. Ordered from him past couple years.

been talking to a few people about Miura clubs. they all say that some models are made in canada and then there are some models that are japan made, is this true??

The non Japan version (www.miuragolf.com) are being assembled here in Vancouver Canada. They have a club assembling facility here in Vancouver that they hire this local club maker (Robert Munro) to do the assembling. But as stated above, the heads are completely forged and finished in Japan.

hello everyone,
I have a question...and this regards Miura. So it's relevant to this post
A friend of mine has the r7 tp's Japanese version.
I told them that I think the japanese r7's are forged, and that they are done by Miura in Japan not Taiwan.
So in order to settle a score...does anyone know?

am I way wrong? slightly wrong? or right?

help

cheers

I think Miura did some forging for TM many years ago but not in recent years and not the R7 which was forged in Taiwan.
