New for 2010 - went a little overboard on the changes IMO

Howdy Y'all!

My bag surely ain't too pretty...but it gets the job done.

...that was how I started off the year - I only wanted to add to it and maybe get some new irons - but thus far

...I got a new headcover or two, new irons, wedges, driver, 3 wood, and a little work done to the putter...

To start things off we start with the $ club...PING REDWOOD ANSER...took out all the paintfill and just left it looking clean and dull at the begining...

before... AFTER -

- I just completed this little project this morning in the back yard - I normally have about 6-7 strips of lead tape across the bottom of my putter - I had to remove it to torch it. I had a lead sight dot I had put on the top line of the putter as well - but during the torching it kinda just melted away.

As we move along to the WOODS - we see
TAYLORMADE R9 TP with a MOTORE F1 X-stiff - NO MORE
TITLEIST 906f2 15* with a GD YS-6 stiff flex' - NO MORE
BEN HOGAN Edge CFT Hybrid 1 - 17* reg flex steel (got it free from a guy that couldnt hit it...it sat around my closet for years, finally put it in the bag and kept it there) STILL GOT HER - ADAMS 18 PRO GOLD on the way to the house as we speak.

New to the bag
Callaway FT-9 Tour N - 8.5* Diamana BB 73X shaft. It plays to about 44" as I'm trying to work just more on controling the ball flight.
Ping Rapture 14* 3 wood - Aldila VS Proto 85-R (my grandfathers old 3 wood - trying to find a good shaft to put in her...I love the head of the Rapture woods and maybe match it with a RIP or a WB)

Irons - TITLEIST 695mb DG s300 3-5,7-9 - NO MORE

New to the bag -

Scratch SB-1 D/S - 3-9 - KBS Tour X-Stiff (top left corner you can see the strip of lead tape on the 3 just at the cut of the muscle - half piece on the 4 in same location.)

48* Scratch TD

This is my Vokey SM 54*...nothing special just took out the paintfill to keep it clean. I have added about 3 pieces of lead tape to the back of her and really like it more now.

I also added a 60* Scratch PDG

So all in all this bag is awesome!

I had just wanted to get some new irons later this year but everything fell into the right place at the right time and a month later I have the perfect bag - sort of...TEE 3wd might be in the future - who knows...

The paintfill on the 48 and 60 will be coming off and I might even blue the 60 - haven't decided just yet.

As far as the anger - I have played 2 rounds with my new bag set up - I have posted scores of -1 and even in local club weekend tournaments and even had to scramble all over during one round...I have a new appreciation for the game of golf and just look forward to keeping a smile on my face and 14 clubs in my bag. If I break one of my Scratch clubs out of anger I'd expect the mod's to ban me just because I'm an idiot...

....unlike your photography skills. 1 photo - is that it? I can just about see three irons. Probably the ones you [i]haven't [/i]broke.

Ha ha ha ha, you made me laugh. I understand you totally, but I haven't gone so far that I would brake my club. But in that moment when you make a snaphook och a terrible push you are quite mad and feel like you wanna quit playing golf. I think I've said that I will quit golfin' 100 times but no, I will never ever quit!

Just reshaft your clubs like 30$ each and play!

Or if you can teach yourself to play without these clubs can make it possible to play with four wedges och 3 wedges and 3 and 5 wood. Its nice!

Nice irons and a beautiful putter!

Like how you bend your wedge hahahahahah!

Can you please tell me how you removed the paintfill.

What model did you have on your vokey before you did it because it looks a little bit grey?

I have the black nickel vokey's and would love to remove the paint. Hate it!

That is just a regular plain jane retail Black Nickel Vokey...It is a bit faded as far as the finish. When I removed the paintfill on my irons I just put some acetone on a cotton ball and put it on the spot I wanted to take off and let it sit there for about 5-10 minutes then would take a tooth pick and pick out the paint. With the Vokey I just put it in a jar that I filled with acetone and let it sit in there for a while and then just took a small pin and removed the paint. Just watch out with the acetone on the ferrule...found out about that the hard way a few years back on my 4 iron. Yea, that bent wedge was sitting around in the closet too. I was just using a 54 and was chipping out back with the bent 54 one day and figured what the heck, I'll put it in the bag and see how it goes. When it comes to golf I have matured a bunch over the past few years...but I'm still only 23 so I got a ways to go. But buying your own clubs helps you realise the fact that golf is not cheap - and breaking clubs out of anger is ignorant.

3 iron 225? thats pretty epic tour quality infact. this seems especially strange considering your only playing stiff shafts

Yea...I shouldn't be playing stiff shafts - just didnt want to upgrade my shafts...

It's fun sometimes when I play with some new people and they see a 5'7" 145lbs guy hit the ball like I do...

lol, you remind me of a guy I played with in a local tourny once. He had a ping Anser 2 bent about 15 degrees about 3 inches up from the hosel....said he got pissed one day and hit it on his shoe and bent it. He went on to explain that he had been putting lights out with it since then so he kept it like that.

Flash forward to somewhere on the back 9....he has like a 15 footer. He hits the putt, the shaft brakes and the head just plops down on the ground. This guy is just standing there with a grip and half a shaft in his hand :cheesy:

Ok, so you are nowhere near as nutty as that guy...but at least re-shaft those two bats. Great bag though, nice looking blade and that driver combo must be awesome.
