Smokey's baby blades !

Couple pics inside !

Here are some pics of my baby blades I am building. I had them refinished in black oxide and had a slight leading edge grind done as well as some grinding on the topline to thin it up even more.I just did a white paintfill no fancy colors this time around.They are going to be shafted with some x700's and some corded TSG grips and white ferrules. I am going to build them and rub them down with some sword oil. Any questions about where and how much I got them done for send me a pm. Enjoy the pics - Shaun

You never cease to amaze me with the quality of equipment you possess. Those blades are sweet.

I just had my Mizunos finished the same way minus the paintfill. You did not get these done by a certain member located in Michigan?

What does the sword oil do? Also, how long do you think it would take you to build the set? Do you have to cut your irons?

Thanks for all the comments guys. No these were done locally by a buddy of mine. Sword oil keeps them from rusting and gives them a shine to them without attracting all the dirt and dust if applied properly. I have a few swords and use the oil on them figure I would treat my Miura's with the same respect LOL. I am building them now and changing my cars oil and air filter at the same time so I should have them built in a hour or 2. I have to cut my shafts to size, adjust swingweight , align spine, grip and they should be done. I'll post pics of them when they are done.

Fully built pics are up as well as my refinished Chikara's they are not pretty like the baby blades LOL. Now to get the WITB updated is next. And thanks for all the positive comments guy I am really happy the way these came out.

This finish holds up just as well as any black finish. It gradually wears over time. 100 rounds I am sure it will be showing signs of wear in the sweet spot and on the sole.
