Swingweight Calculator in Excel

Has anyone made a basic swingweight chart in excel with common shafts and grips? It seems easy and I expect someone here has done it. I would be willing to pay for your time if you could email this data to me.

 

Also my thought is that different shafts will have different balance point so you cant calculate based on the overall shaft weight. Is this correct or is this almost negligible?

Nope, at least per data I put for 2 Drivers that I know the actual SW for

I made one. Acurate to 10th of a SW. (Ex D2.5). All you need is a gram scale and a ruler. I have validated my findings with this spreadsheet against several different swingweight scales in various stores and it has always been spot on.

To use -
1) Measure mass of club (in grams) on an accurate gram scale.
2) Balance club, and mark balance point (i usually use a sharpie for steel shafts, and a piece of tape with a sharpie for graphite shafts)
3) Measure from the very end of the grip to the balance point (in inches)
4) Enter the club name, mass, and balance point dimension into one line of the spreadsheet. Use the fraction to decimal conversion chart to get decimals. (ex 28 3/16" = 28.1875")

It's really tough to make something that is perfectly accurate, but I could probably build you something that will get it within 1 point accuracy. How many shafts do you want?

I noticed something off in this calculator, namely Cut Shaft Wt = (Raw Shaft Length / Club Length) x Raw Shaft Weight. So if your playing your driver at 46" then its calculating as though the shaft was uncut. Maybe that accounted for in some other formula. Love the idea of a spreadsheet that'd calculate off of parts.
