Over the past 3-4 months, I've completely revamped my bag (with the exception of my driver), so I decided to post my first WITB...unfortunately, I only have an iPhone, so photo quality might not be great, but hope you like it anyway!

how do you like the irons with DGSL..

I really like them, I know a couple people think they feel harsh, but they work great with my swing. Lower launching than my old irons (Launchers with Actionlites), but they land soft and go where I want them to go. I love the lighter weight of the shaft, just feels good in my hands...

how come you opted for 3 different brands of wedges? i would think having a consistent wedge brand would help with touch and control because they all feel the same. also is your scratch wedge your favorite? they seem to have a cult following on these message boards.

I didn't actively try to make it happen, but I got great deals on all of them. I only paid $40 for the Callaway and TM, so I figured if I didn't like them, I could put them in the backup bag. But, I really liked the feel on all of them, and I haven't noticed a huge difference in my ability to hit a certain shot with any of the wedges. In the end, it just happened to work for me. I understand where you're coming from, with keeping the wedges consistent, but it didn't really make too much of a difference to me. As far as which wedge, I like best, I would honestly say either the Z-TP or the Scratch wedge. The sharp leading edge of the Scratch wedge makes it visually appealing off tight lies, and I love the way it plays 50 yds and in. As for the Z-TP, it just performs for me, and that's all I can say about it. The Scratch wedge is amazing, to answer your question though, and I'll definitely buy from them again when it's time to change wedges. And thanks, I love the Srixons, look and feel great!

Great setup. How do you lke the TEE?

 

Love it. Coming from a Cleveland Hibore, which was a great fairway by itself, I find myself getting a little more control (could be from the heavier shaft), and a bit more distance. I use it mostly off the tee, and it's just point-and-shoot with this club. Off the fairway, it's solid, but it's rare that I'll use it off the deck that often. Much more likely to pull the 3hybrid in that situation. The face length seems a bit long, but it performs better than any other 3wood I've tried (though I haven't tried the newer exotics or anything), and it's very forgiving IMO. If you try it, I doubt you'd be disappointed

Thanks...I actually don't keep a USGA handicap, but using an online tool, generally fluctuates between 12-14 throughout the year, getting a little better, but subpar chipping and putting is really doing me in...in Tampa, I usually play the Claw, but also at Temple Terrace (9 hole) and some places in Zephyrhills and Lutz...
