Callaway FT-iz Tour or Non-Tour?

Guys,

 

I'm thinking of getting an FT-iz, I just don't know what to get.

I also don't have a chance of demoing them.

 

I have a chance of getting a non-tour version now but i'm kinda' hesitant because maybe the tour version is better.

 

For those who hit both, did you notice any difference? lets say 9* ft-iz vs. the 9.5* ft-iz tour?

 

If the difference like the sumo 5900 vs. sumo 2 tour square (these 2 drivers are worlds apart!) I'd rather wait for the tour version.... but if the they are practically the same, I'll get the non-tour now.

In the simplest terms. are your misses left or right? The Tour version is, I believe, a degree open to help take left out of play.

Well, if you're saying the only difference is the closed or opened face and everything else is the same, I think that is not a big deal for me, i would just get a lower lofted non-tour version right? but if there is a major difference in COG that will make the non tour version spin a lot more than the tour version and combine it with the closed face, I think this would make a lot of difference in terms of distance (similar to the difference between the 5900 and its tour version.

The Tour version also launches lower than the regular version.

The non tour version is closed and ugly in my opinion.

The tour version is better looking and plays well.

I also am interested in getting an ft-iz but cannot decide between the tour and the non tour. Even though my miss is a slice I am leaning toward the tour. Would love to hear more opinions from those that have hit both.

I've hit the FT-IZ Tour 10.5* stiff Sunday. My normal shot is a draw if I miss. The FT-IZ is unreal, all it wanted to do was go straight. So, the Tour is what I would play. The only thing that I wasn't trilled about was the shaft, thinking of going with the I-Mix and playing a Fubuki 63 stiff.

Another difference I noticed is the Callaway logo on the non-tour version on top of the head. Not sure if it makes
a difference with the pro's but for the hackers I think it's a nice alignment aid. (I'm a hacker).
