what tournaments to play in

Hi, I am currently a freshmen in college and over the past summer I put in a lot of work trying to get my game to a position to play in college but in order for me to be able to tryout I am going to need to develop a resume over the summer. My question is what tournaments should I play in. I can play in both NJ and VT and my home course is in VT and is holding the VT Am so I am hoping to qualify for that but in terms of one day tournaments and qualifiers, what should I do. Also if I happen to play in some qualifiers and still play solidly but not make the cut, could and would those scores be valuable. Any help would be much appreciated as small as it might be. Thank you

yes play the qualifiers and your city/state tournaments...

even you dont make the cut, but post a good round it is valuable

There should be area men's events you can play as well. For example in our area there are 4 or 5 2 days "mens metro" event each spring and early summer, as well as a "metro championship." There are a lot of excellent players to compete against in these tournamenet. Good competition. I suggest you check with you club pro to give you a list of big tournaments to play in.
