Iron steel shaft question concerning ball flight

Need to hit it higher

I am currently playing rac lt2 6-pw and r7 xd 3-5 irons with the lt2 stock shafts call t-step pros in stiff flex. They are 110g with a mid bend point. These worked well for me when I got them last year. However, a couple of lessons later I am hitting the ball a little lower. 6-pw is border line acceptable but 3-5 irons are definitely too low. I am sure it has to do with the lofts too as the r7 xd are about 2 degrees stronger then their lt2 counterparts. My question is will I see a big difference in trajectory if I reshaft with Dynalite Gold SL's? They are a bit lighter at 105g and have a lower bend point and softer tip. In addition, should I soft step them? I can load the shafts I play now fine but I feel like I can still control them if they were softer. That may also aid with the ball flight too, right? FYI, my driver SS is about 100-105 and my 150 club is a 7 iron. Thanks.

Try Nippon Pro 950GHs. They'll get it up even higher. Or even TX-90s.

i have nippons in my 3 wood and hybrid and love them but they can get very expensive when reshafting a whole set of irons. besides i would rather do the work myself and i believe nippons can only be purchased installed. thanks for the suggestions.

 

anyone know what the difference between the dynlite gold sl and tx-90 is? they both weigh about the same and have low bend points.

Its a funny thing about the t-step shaft in the LT2. I have a 95-99 driver ss (w/ s-flex) but when I got fitted for my LT2s the regular flex shaft worked best for me. That was the first R flex I played in years. And I gotta admit, it works great. I get soaring ball flight but don't feel like I'm giving up any control. My distances are:

 

PW: 115 yards

9-iron 130

8-iron 145

7-iron 155

6-iron 165

5-iron 175

my yardages are pretty close to yours about 5 yards shorter. i am considering going with r or soft stepping s with the new shafts.
