Cobra irons

I know Acushnet is pretty secretive about giving out information regarding equipment, but has anybody heard if they will be discontinuing the Inertia Series anytime soon, and coming out with a new line of irons??? I almost like the appearance of the 3100's and the performance is great, but I just can't used to the looks.

O.K., so nobody knows, but does anyone play Cobra 3100's and what's your opinion about them??? I'm seriously thinking about making a change.

I played the 3100's and liked them quite a bit, very easy to hit 3 through pitching wedge. Of the many forgiving cast cavity backs I've used/tried I like the Mizuno MX-17's, 3100's and BB 2004. All 3 were super forgiving for me, I personally like the aesthetics of the MX-17 of those three but the 3100's have the edge in price and stock steel shaft = Nippon (I prefer Nippon steel shafts over TT and Rifle shafts).

I have the Cobra 3100 IH irons with the graphite shafts. I bought them last year at a Golfsmith demo day and am very happy with them. They are very smooth to hit, gave me back some distance that I had lost over the years and were a better iron for me than the 3400's. I also have a set of Eye 2's that I have owned for twenty years but prefer the Cobra's with the graphite shafts. Give them a demo and see if they are right for you. I believe Sir Shanks Alot gave them a very high rating in their review also. You could go tho that site and read it for an informed opinion also. Good luck.

I love the way that you phrased that I almost like the apprearance of You are right, though... with Cobra's GI irons, it seems that form definately took a back seat to function, LOL.

But before I come off like a jerk, PingDog is right... the only way you'll be able to tell if you really like the iron is to go out and try it... maybe you'll like the function so much you'll just fall in love with the form

I have demoed these irons and can keep demoing these irons until my hands fall off, so let me rephrase my question: Has anybody played more than a few rounds with these irons??? If so what was your reaction.
