Rare Scotty Cameron Prototype?

Has anyone ever heard of a Scotty Cameron Prototype having no markings other than "Titleist" on the head?

i never have, but i dont know a whole lot about camerons. maybe posting pics would help? or go to the cameron collector and ask there

Yes - there were some cast Anser style done in the 1990's to try to win over Ping Anser users. So the story goes, Cameron would not allow his name on them because they were not milled. You can find them in the Cameron registry. I have seen pictures of the Titleist Anser made for David Duval.

Thanks a lot! That is pretty cool... Nothing against Ping's cast putters, but I don't blame Scotty for not allowing his name being put on these putters! That doesn't really appeal to me.

Do you know if there have been many milled models without Scotty's name on them? I just scanned a few of the authenticated putters and could not find any.
