Bought a set of TaylorMade Tour Burner irons.

 

Played my second round with them today and shot a 79, which is my lowest score of the season so far.

 

Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with them.

i love the CG11's! i was playing a CG10 sand wedge for a while and beat that thing into the ground. it had to be replaced. i just recently picked these up second-hand for a great price and in great condition.

man, i sure hope they come out of this slump soon. the halladay perfect game was awesome, but i'd prefer more wins. the world just isn't right when they're not in first place. and i sure hope the flyers can hold serve at home.

i've played the Penta a few times, but that was with a completely different set of clubs than any of the ones seen here and before i really got my swing down. i should probably try them again. on the other hand, i find the Burner TP to be a really good ball for the money. great distance off the tee and pretty good spin around the greens. plus, they've been going for 2 boxes for $40 for a while, which is a great deal. and since balls are what i probably buy most often, it makes sense for me. but i might splurge the next time i'm at the store and pick up a box of Pentas.

Thanks! Well, I won the auction for the 2-PW set. Then the very next day, I saw the 4-PW set go up for sale at a great price and they looked to be in better condition. Both sets were delivered on Friday and all the clubs are in pretty good condition. The shafts on the 2-PW set were actually longer than standard and the grips needed to be replaced. So at first, I was going to just turn around and sell them and make some money back. But then I thought about how long I've been wanting these clubs and how it's getting harder to find a good set for a decent price. So I just decided to keep both. One set will stay in my bag, and I'll hold on to the other set as a backup. In fact, I've already trimmed the shafts and replaced the grips on the one.
