Mizuno VS. Srixon

I'm looking to grab another set of irons this year.I currently play Pro Golds & like them,but I'd like to feel the difference of 1020.What iron is comparable to the Adams shape?The mx25,200,mp52,58,Srixon701/tour.any help is appreciated-Thanks.

the MP58s and 701tours have a similar size to the Pro Golds. I'd start there.

my Srixon 701 tours are the best set of irons I have owned to date! 6 months ago you could have picked a new set up for $299 with your choice of shafts (Project X, Dynamic Gold, KBS Tour, etc.) but they are getting harder and harder to find! I think they would be worth trying and they do setup simular to ur pro golds.

Srixons don't feel as buttery as Mizunos

The i701 Tours are the best set of irons I have ever hit. They don't have the name recognition or mystique of Mizunos, but they are every bit as good, if not better, than the Mizzys (in my opinion). Performance-wise, feel-wise, and aesthetically, they are head and shoulders above any other iron I have hit. With the exception of 'ultra-premium' irons (Miura, Epon, etc.) you won't find a better set of irons.

titleist1: Where can/did you find these for 300 a pop?

Golfsmith was offering them for $300 with the fst/kbs shafts. You can find them on the bay and here once in awhile here. Like ^, they are good clubs and many dont want to part with them.

Yea back around Christmas time Golfsmith and Edwin Watts were both selling them new for $299. It really made me mad because I had paid the full asking price of $799 just a few months prior! I know Golfsmith had a ton of them with the KBS shafts and our local Watts had Dynamic Gold Sensicore and Project X in stock! I should have bought a backup set!

Mizuno MP-58's, for sure. Great feel, good forgiveness, and you don't get a sole and topline a whole lot thinner in a dual cavity. All in all confidence inspiring club... Srixon I-701 Tour is a great club too, but it isn't Mizuno...

Another vote for Srixon 701Tour

I have tried Mizuno but something about Srixon make it way better.

Feel, look and performance... not matched.

Srixon is forgiving for being players club.

Not many people recommend Srixon because they have not tried it.

I have two sets with different shafts. They are good.
