Most DURABLE lightweight Carry bag?

SM 3.5, Ping 4-Under, TM Micro-lite, etc.

Which is most durable? I walk so I want a light one. Pockets don't really matter to me because they all seem about the same (the edge goes to TM IMO). I just want one that will last and I won't be propping up on broken legs, etc..

Was in same boat earlier this year coming from an old hoofer 2. I settled on TM Pure Lite. Less than a pound heavier than the Ping 4under that everyone loves, so its still quite light. I love the freaking thing. Looks great and feels like nothing on your back. Good all around bag

Most durable? Unless you like to destroy your equipment of have an anger problem they all pretty much last a long time. If you're looking for a bag that'll last a lifetime perhaps you should buy a Staff bag. However, my last two bags have been TM Monza Featherweight and currently have a PING Hoofer C-1. If you're a carrier/walker I'd like to suggest a PING bag, they're simply put.......perfect.

Its mostly the leg-mechanism that I worry about. I see ping bags drooping around all the time, don't really know much about TM bags, but ill look into that one.

I really like my Titleist lightweight. The material that this bag has seems like it is going to be more durable then the SM 3.5. The legs are snappy, up and down. Solid construction. Fantastic bag.

I'm surprized you see so many Ping bags drooping around as I'm on my third Ping stand bag and had last two for about 10 years each and never had a problem with stand. In fact never had any problems with any part of bag. Just got tired of looking at same bag for so many years that I replaced them. Mac

I agree. The last two generations of Ping carry bags seem to lack the quality build of some of the older bags. I toted Ping L8s and Hoofer 2s and a 3, and they are still perfectly good working bags. They do lack the latest full length divider, club organization and pocket layouts of the latest Sun Mountain and Ogio. All of them are still in my garage I have just moved on...

I walked with a 4 Under for a month or so, but missed the capabilities of the SM 3.5. Then flipped back and forth between it, a Vaporlite, two Ozones, and the Hoofer 3.

On durability, I would say Sun Mountain has a slight advantage over OGIO, tho I love the Woode top more than the 3.5s divider scheme. All three of my OGIO bags are biting the dust at about the same time. The 3.5 kept trucking along until my son gave it to a friend without asking...

As a result, i have a SM Four 5 on order and will probably decommision the OGIOs. I would suggest looking at the Titleist bag line made by SM. They seem to spec slightly better materials than the std SM line, IMHO.

The Ping Hoofer has been around forever so that says something about their quality and function. I recently bought Nike's Sasquatch Tour bag with the 14-way dividers and I love it. It also is sneaky light and the way the straps are made and move make it very easy to carry and I think it looks pretty good too. Also, Sun Mountain has some very lightweight bags that look nice but I have never used one so I can only comment on the style aspect of them.

I just got donw with an almost 10 year sting w/ my Ping L8+ bag--that beings said--Ping is #1 in my books. I just picked up a Black w/ white Piping Ping Voyage--custom colrs. I really love the actual dividers. Labored fo years with clubs sticking to one another. NO MAS! Go Ping--plus Pings bags dont have that retarded plastic garbage at the bottom of the bag along with the steel wire---too much garbage thats bound to break. Looking forward to another 10 years of comfort and style. Ping Voyage!

I have been using an Ogio Decibel for about a year, it's been great. Light, durable and has the Woode top I like.

I refuse to buy a new bag, and my L8 is about 10 years old and still looks Brand New...

I'd recommend the SM 3.5/Titleist Lightweight. Hands down better design/build vs the Ping. Superior leg mechanism and superior divider system with the 'boxed' full length dividers.

I've always had good luck with Sun Mountain bags. I just got a 2012 3.5 and it's great. I still occasionally use an old SM Eclipse, if anyone still remembers that bag, and everything on it still works like when I bought it many years ago!
