Hilton Head National down to 18

I had been hearing that they were planning on getting rid of the Player 9 at Hilton Head National to widen the road. I just went on the website to look around and see that they have actually done it. :cry: This makes me all the more happy that I got a chance to play the Player 9 last year on my trip before it got shut down. They are now using the Weed course as the front 9 and the National course as the back 9. I am sure it will still be great track as just 18 holes instead of 27 but it's still a bummer.

Thanks. Just played the course over the week of July4th. Unfortunate did not know this even more so looks like I will not get to ever play signature hole. Explains why we were rerouted midway through our round. At any rate this is a top rate place to play and people and staff our great! I really enjoyed it and would probably play there again. Thanks for the update and story.

I Had the chance to play the player 9 a hand full of times.. never knew they had those plans.. kinda sad great 9 that i would play everytime i was in HHI S.C
