What Sunglasses are you wearing?

I have a pair of Oakley Mag M frames with black iridium lens which I really like for golf. Since I wear contacts this style of lens really helps to keep dust out of my eyes. Also playing in central Texas I prefer the darker lens on really bright sunny days. Unfortunately, I think the Mag M frames have been discontinued, but the regular M frames are still available.

NYX makes some great sun glasses, and they only make them for golf.

 

My girlfriend bought a pair at Golfer's Warehouse here in Braintree, MA and it's like night and day when you put them on.

 

Normally, for me, on sunny days the trees and background all seem to blend into each other, but when I tried on her sunglasses you could see a definitive difference in seperation between the trees, sky, and other objects.

 

Just my opinion, and they're not that expensive, around $80 a pair

I use Bolle Parole model with the Eagle Vision lenses. I also like Oakley products, but I tried these and like them! Had to buy a new pair on e-bay, because I lost my last pair on the course! :drinks:

Oakley Half Jacket XLT with Gold Iridium ... I think I will get getting some G30 lenses soon.

 

PeakVisions are what my pro swears by. I happen to think they are ugly and as a result will not wear them. I like my glasses to be multitaskers. I wear my Oakleys all over the place. I love them.

Since I wear glasses I wear perscription Persol metal framed sunglasses with dark Amber polarized lenses. Didn't think there would be a difference in clarity between my regular glasses and these but there is. I even wear them on overcast days because they pick up everything on the course so much better.

Is that the array containing the Fire, Slate, and G30 lenses? I just got Fire Iridium and G30s, but the G30s make everything look kinda flat :drinks: They're good for biking in less intense lighting conditions

Never been more pleased with a pair of glasses (still have several pairs of Oakleys, Ray Bans and Smiths hanging around in cars/boats/drawers etc.). Excellent interchangeable lens system - with different gradations of color for different light conditions - I wear them for everything from skiing to fishing to golf. I have the Pale Ale Fade - the new Tare frame looks nice too.

 

Polarized lens are where it's at for me for reading greens. You get used to the ghosty polarized shimmer.

I read it too. Makes sense. Why lather every part of your body up with SPF30 and leave your most valuable assets exposed to UV rays. I've started wearing glasses on the course.

 

My favorites are any Maui Jims.

I have played one round with them so far. I currently play with contact lenses and my eyes are fairly light sensitive. WWithout sunglasses, lots of unconscious squinting ect. Also with sunglasses, some light always got in the side, bottom ect of the glassses and caused me to squint.

 

The Nike lenses are great! 100% coverage, no light leaking in. No unconscious squinting. And they do a great job with all the green on the golf course. More comfortable than my regular contacts too. Now I'm going to have to find out the price (mine were a free demo pair). I think I read they were about $10 a pair. Takes a little getting used to when wearing due to the act that you can't just take them out for a shot, liek you could take off sunglasses. I really liked them for the first test round.

The Nike MaxSight contacts seem like they could be sweet. I have never worn contacts so I am interested to see if I can stick my finger in my eye. To get em in.

 

At $10 a pair it sounds like 24 rounds could cost $80. (4 in a box, wear em for 4 rounds each, left and right)
