Been to Golden Ocala lately?

Heading down in a few weeks, just wondering if anyone has been lately, how are the conditions, etc...

I was there 6 months ago, and it was perfect. But we were the only one on the course. but great course

Not sure how to get on, we were part of a tournament. Course was incredible, as was the clubhouse. Years ago it was just a little trailer now it's a freakin mansion almost. Anyway we asked the cart girls how often they have non-members playing and she said never (rather pointedly). I think they enjoyed having a larger group for the tips, typically it;s only sporadic member play. Definitely appeared to be a closed shop, unless you can finagle some reciprocal play through your own pro.

First of all it's out in the middle of nowhere. played in june 2009 and it had the top 3 best conditioned greens i've ever played. practice round and tournament round. huge practice facility and awesome driving range! very cozy and beautiful. A LOT of variety and obviously the replica holes are...neat. no clue how to get on but felt like telling ya' what you're missing. sorry I couldn't help. Hope you find a way on. Juliette falls is in the same area. Pretty new/cool/modern track that's possible to get on. definetly worth a look.
