Basso, Ullrich suspended from Le Tour de France!

This is HUGE!

This really opens up the field in the Tour.

In golfing terms, this would be like suspending TW, Mickelson and other top golfers from a Major.

I just hope the Tour de France can survive such an epic pitfall.

Cycling was my hobby before I parked the bike and picked the golf clubs back up a couple of years ago.

I really wish Lance was in the field so he could win number 8 now. He would win this thing going away easily like he has the past 7 years.

No big surprise. I've been following the Spanish sting operation since it started, it was only a matter fo time. I'm just glad they finally busted someone with a LIST of racers on the juice. Not surprised at all about Jan and Ivan.

Don't for a moment think that's all the dopers though. Those are just the ones going to that doc. Other teams have their own docs and drug program, and you'll note Basso is the only Italian on the list.

What's left of the Tour will be wide open. Go Floyd!

Yeah, apparently this has been going on since shortly after the Giro. Guess I missed it. I really haven't paid that much attention to it since Lance retired.

I would love to see Landis win, his time has come, especially after he pulled LA up the Alps two years ago and was named "Mofo of the Mountains".

Actually, it happened during the Giro. The Liberty riders who were in the Giro didn't know what was going to happen when their title sponsor pulled out. Now the renamed team is out, but only three others so far: Ulle, Basso, and Mancebo. Guess everyone else has a different doctor :yahoo:
