Oh, remember when..........?

So, what do you think this little back-up bag would have cost in the early to mid '90's? It is a gorgeous 975D, steel shaft, 9.5* loft, backed up by an original small head S2H2 4-wood, Black Dot model with original firm graphite shaft. The irons are a sweet set of Titleist Tour Models, the '86-'90 Bullet Back version, 2-PW in great shape. The wedges are both Titleist brand. The 456.14 has a custom sole grind and brushed satin finish. The lob wedge came from a Titleist staff player's bag and is only hand-stamped with "60" on the back of the blade. It has very little bounce and is great for the tight desert fairways, here in Arizona. To top it all off is a Scotty Cameron platinum finished Newport with a sightline. It may be a tour piece, but I won't know for sure until he receives it and authenticates it, next week. Cross your fingers for me, please. The whole package is brought together nicely by the Titleist Buffalo Vinyl staff bag, don't you think?
Over the past few years, I have sold a few of each of these clubs and can only imagine what they would have brought, even a few short seasons ago. It is amazing how the equipment world changes, but quality never goes out of style. Hope you enjoy the pics and remember when this was a killer set-up.............

It is kind of funny that the irons and wedges only came out of my bag a month or so ago. I caved and went back to Eye 2's and put a set of Nippon 970's in them that were pulled from a set of 704CB's. Love the shafts and the irons are sooooo easy to play. Thanks for the note, LaMont in AZ. I am in the process of building another back-up set you might like, as well. It is coming together with my set of Prototype X-300 forged irons and TaylorMade XR-03, driver in 9.5*. Not a bad start, I'll keep the board posted as pieces come together.

Those are some sweet irons! I cant believe those are backups. Thanks and I look forward to the updates.
