Another New Slighter Portland

Finally!

Well, finally my Portland has shipped! Here are the new pics of it courtesy of Tom Slighter. Tom can now send his girls to college on my purchase! HA!

I'm very pleased with Tom's latest work. Tell me what ya'll think!

WOW!!! How heavy is that putter? Based on the location of the slot, shallowness of the cavity, and the tungsten plugs, I'm thinking perdy-darned . . . but that's just an estimate. :cheesy: I do like the refinements that have been going into Tom's putters lately, specifically the Kent and the Portland. Maybe time for him to quit his day job, make this putter thing more of a full-time gig? :)

Thats sweet, I always thought the plugs give a putter a little something extra in the looks department.

I asked Tom to make this around 365 grams, and he was only too happy to oblige me. I like something more substansial in my hands so I feel like I don't have to swing as hard to longer putts. I keep telling Tom to quit his day job, but he likes to eat consistenty. Although, he is kept VERY busy on his putter gig.

I'm waiting for Tom to do his next batch of Portlands as I wanted deeper face milling than the proto's he had. I also wanted the heavy weight you received but he said it would be difficult, although he did not mention to me that he could do tungsten weights. I didn't ask either though. Hopefully he will be starting up a new batch soon. Your putter looks great, let us know how you like it.

Got to roll it. OUTSTANDING. I left fewer putts short, placed a lot of good rolls and even sank a 30 footer. Needless to say, I'm sold on this one. I may send back my Kent for a facelift. The sound slot made feedback much easier. I knew 100% sure where I hit it and how well. Great job Tom Slighter!

I never tire of hearing happy new putter owners! Tom does it well and sometimes hits a home run.

The putter looks great and it is awesome to hear your excitement in its performance.

Tom does unbeleivable work....i have one, and it unreal...Rolls the ball amazingly!!!!
