904F vs R7 st vs Exotics vs X Tour vs Fusion

Lets say you had the choice of purchasing one of the following, but were looking to have a club that is as equally playable from tee or turf, provides ample distance, and is fairly forgiving...

Titleist 904F
R7 Steel
Exotics
X Tour
Fusion

Also, given a choice of shafts, which combo would you prefer?

For me, the 904F can't be beat.

I agree that the 904F cant be beat....off the tee...

But I just benched it for a TEE 4 wood and now I can hit it off the ground and as far off the tee. I think the 904 is a tad bit more accurate but I had trouble off the ground. The TEE is good off the tee and turf.

I have the 904 15* w/ a YS6+ stiff and the TEE 4 wood (16.5*) with the stock fuji. I will be looking to change the shaft out to a Fuji Tour Platform 26.3 stiff very soon.

FYI - you may want to wait a bit as the 904 will be getting really cheap since the 906F is coming out in August.

I have the 905R in the Speeder 8.5* and want to hit one of their fairways with a speeder and see how it goes. I am definitely going t be getting the new Titleist hybrid.

Not a huge TM fan since the the 580's that came out a few years back. The Cally's just dont look right to me. You also may want to add the Sonartec 2.5 to your list.

How are you liking the 905R? Just ordered one and can't wait for it to arrive...

Got one with a V2 shaft in it. I also have to agree between the 904f and Tee, but wasn't too sure about hitting the 904 off the deck. Also, the R7 steel i have hit and seems to be really good with the exception of the IMO crappy shaft. May replace the shaft in it as well.

Any more reviews out there?

I got the 904 with TT Stiff in it. It great off of the tee. Off the deck is fine for me in the fairway. Things can get dicey in the rough. I'm looking at the Cally X-Tour because of this. In addtion, to the Fuiji Tour Platform. I would give the X-Tour serious consideration if you are concerned with hitting it off the deck.

I recently got the 905R with a Diamana Blue 70 stiff. My previous driver was the 975D. The R is excellent. The ball flight is a little higher than the D but flatter at the top. I have no problem fading the driver as some say it has a draw bias to it. Tee height takes a little bit to find your own sweet spot. Enjoy the new driver.
