Need Ruling Quick, Relize made mistake in match

I played in a championship match today. I won the match coming back from 4 down 4 to go. So im home now thinking about the round and realize i hit the wrong ball on the 3rd hole which was pushed. I feel terrible even though the ball i played was in a much worse spot. Man i dont want to win kowing i screwed up.

Man up and do the right thing....Although I'm wondering why you didn't fess up when the incident occurred?..It was only the 3rd hole so you had plenty of time to come back in the match...Did you really just realize NOW that you played the wrong ball, or just realize now that you should own up to it?

Called golf pro told me it is to late. If I would have knowingly done it still to late. Other pro thought needed to be called before next tee if i didnt relize it.

Just realized like i said my ball had a much better lie. Talked to other guys playing with us they think he hit wrong ball from fairway before i hit my ball. They dont even think im right about the whole thing. We walked up to green and one ball was just short of the bunker one just over it. I went up to ball over bunker wich was same number with black dot that i lost on last whole ob. Other guy goes to one short says this isnt him its mine with black 1 two dots. I say man cant belive i almost hit the wrong ball.

To change the results of a match already declared official by the commitee. They sent the rule. Got about twenty emails saying the same thing. If it were stroke play i would be dq

This is not clear at all. If you want an answer, can you try to explain this again using "me" and "opponent" rather than "they" and "he". Be clearer about the timeline of who hit which ball and when. And be clearer about who said what to whom and when.

Seriously...It seems to me like an honest mistake and you have obviously attempted to call attention to it and make it right. You may get a few people looking at you cross at some upcoming events, but im about 101% sure none of them have lead mistake free lives.

Doesnt matter who said what didnt hit my opponents ball, was guy in our foresome, who says its not true he hit the right ball as does his opponent. As stated above and comfirmed by the 50 emails i recived clearly showing the rule in match play is once match is final td hats it. My opponent likes my honesty but says he too doesnt think i hit wrong ball and if i did those are the rules he would never take the win.

Actually there now calling me Honest Abe so i think the opposite is true everyone thinks of me as being too honest. The other guys with us say they are sure they hit right ball in fairway because his oppon checked the ball thinking it was his so who knows. we may have switched on prior green
