New Irons...graphite shafts or Steel?

I am currently playign a set of TM Burner Bubble Oversize irons. They are R Flex graphite with the shafts weighing in at about 90 grams. I am havign this dilemma which way to go with new irons. Do I go with another graphite shaft? Considering that todyas graphites are 25 to 30 grams lighter than my current ones, will I see any real improvment in distance. I currently hit my 7 iron around 150 and the rest of my clubs around 10 yards more or less as we go up or down thru. If I go with Steel shafted such as the RAC oS with its 90 grams shaft or another lightweight steel will I see equivalent distance to my current irons but with tighter dispersion.

 

I guess I just wonder how much more distance will I see from the lighter weight graphites of today compared to mine and for that matter will I benefit from steel in terms of dispersion and get equal distance or maybe even greater from todays more forgiving irons?

 

Any feedback is appreciated...

 

by the way I am lookign at TM RAC OS2, Mizuno MX17 and maybe Cobra 3100 or 2300...
