Ladies, please....I have yet to master a thinned high cut. :diablo: I struck that ball as well as I can, hoping to leave it well short of the back pin. There may have been a whisper of wind at my back... :yess:

 

The only hole-in-one I have actually seen go in was a friend's who skulled an iron on a par 3 at Old Orchard that rolled up, hit the pin and fell in. He's always been a little embarrassed to talk about it.....

 

My buddy Phil's father had a "beautiful" hole-in-one that he evidently bragged about for years. Phil's uncle finally shared the true story: dear old Dad farted during his backswing and was laughing all the way down, blading the shot.....

New irons will inculde :

 

X-Tour II irons made of the finest carbon steel and really soft feeling. No bore-thru :yess:

 

X-20's Irons, both regular offset and tour version.

 

New Fairway woods :

 

Totally new design for these new woods.

 

 

And totally Top Secret :diablo:

 

New Tour Milled and expensive putter line.

Before any of you rush out and buy a new Ping Rapture driver, FYI, they are having a serious problem with shafts breaking (direct from ping source). I would stay away from the one's already on the shelves.

 

Custom orders should be ok and you can expect it by Christmas.

I will be going all callaway x series from top to bottom!!! it'll be awhile until the callaway irons are released out to kick the miuras out of the bag (which are soon going out to get the golf pride orange/black grips put on, along with a few other spec changes)

I picked up a Old School (Blue) Cally Steelhead Plus 5 wood today. I use to hit that fairway wood great and my hybrid is balking at the moment. This stick is still in use on the Tour today.

 

Also got the 3 wood head, but the paint job is a disaster, will check and see if Cally will refinish it.

 

Now comes the hard part, what shaft to install in it....

I played at Tech with my old Steelhead Plus 4+ and striped it. I have issues with 3 woods.

Well I am a basket case right now concerning fairway woods and I will go retro to solve my problem if needed.

I have decided that since I am a crappy ball striker the 4060 is way to much for me. The Sonartec is nice but the Callaway seems to have a special place in my heart.

got my tour-issue x tour fw today, and take a look at this sleeve?!?!?!?! that thing is a little "notch" and the ferrule is slanted?

 

i think it's a .335 installed in the .350 head b/c the shaft doesn't say .350.

 

 

glynn, we're total opposites....i have no problem with fairway woods, it's the irons that are a basket case!

got lucky b/c callaway tour van was there when i placed the order for driver & fw! no serial #'s

 

all other clubs are retail

 

they used the regular normal looking ferrule on my driver (but that shaft says .350)

 

it's an nv r flex (fitted for more flexible tip stiff shaft....go ahead & laugh you fast-swinging monsters)

...Have not played it, but Red Sky Ranch is supposed to be pretty nice. Tom Fazio/Greg Norman design.
