Iberostar Playa Paraiso

I moved down to the Mayan Riviera five years ago from Canada and play all the courses here. If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to answer to the best of my knowledge or at least find someone here who will get you the right answer.

We have 13 courses with 2 more coming online this winter.
Iberostar hosted the Canadian Tour for 3 years and is the Monday Qualifier for the PGA Tour event. P.B. Dye design.

Mayakoba El Cameleon hosts the PGA Tour event, Mayakoba Classic each February. The crowds are so small that this is like your own personal private event. Greg Norman design.
Playa Mujeres is another Greg Norman course.

Bahia Principe Riviera Maya , Robert Trent-Jones II design.

Jack Nicklaus has been busy in the area with the Palace resort courses: Moon palace - 27 holes, Riviera Cancun, and Playacar as well as Cozumel and the Mayan Palace Executive course, El Manglar.

Nick Price has the new Coral Beach coming in February.

Nick Price and T. Fazio have 2 new courses coming soon at Cancun Country Club.

The Cancun Hilton, (soon to be the Iberostar resort) and Pok ta Pok are in the hotel zone.

I'll stick with Cozumel and Playa Azul, this will be our 9th year there. It is a Nicklaus design, Steve IIRC, not a Jack course. Beautiful part of the world in January, not sure I'd like to be there for summer.

Played at the Iberostar 2 years ago. Great experience. Would love to get back. Course was in great shape and pretty much deserted.

Sorry for the delay I am in cold canada for another 3 days freezing my golf balls off....and have limited internet traveling. Greg Norman course. Very windy so keep it low. Its a nice course but I found that the holes start to look the same. For instance we rounded to number 10 tee and both of us thought we had played that hole prior. Par 4 dogleg to the right around a lake. Pretty but the same as 3 other par 4s...If your staying at a golf included resort I think its $65 or $70 so thats a great price. If not I think I can get you about 115. What hotel you staying at. Its a ways out of town to the north. Jack

Say hi to the crocs in cozumel for me and benny too. and come on its not that hot in the summer We are only about a mile from the sun.......lol

Stil the same. I really do think its the best one there for maintenance and quality of holes... The new Bahia Principe is pretty too though.

I'm going to Playa Del Carmen for a week this August. I'm really close to Mayakoba so that is the obvious course to play, but there is a golf course right next to my hotel (RIU) but I can't figure out what it is called. Can you tell me?

Played the Playa Paraiso course when I got married in Mexico in May. Amazing course and decent enough rental clubs since I didn't want to lug mine down with me.
