Launch monitors in Thailand?

Anyone know of a golfstore with a launch monitor or opti-cart in Thail

The topid says it all... does anyone know of a good golfstore with a launch monitor or opti-fit cart in Thailand?

There's a place called Thaniya Plaza on Silom Road in Bangkok. The first three floors are basically filled with golf stores, both authorized dealers and standalone shops. So, I would suggest that you walk around and ask if they do have launch monitor or opti-fit cart. I remember one store called 'Transview Golf' which is on the first floor in the back section of the building. The store is an authorized dealer for titleist and has large selection of other premium brands, both US and Japan. I'm pretty certain that they should have a lunch monitor for the customers. As for the Opti-fit cart, I am not sure if any specific stores would have one. I'm from Thailand but haven't been back for a couple years now but hopefully things haven't changed much since then.

I've been to that "golf plaza/mall" and you are right, it is definitely the place to go. I'm just not sure if they have the room for launch monitors. My brother is there right now visiting family. I will have him ask the pro at our driving range and see what he can find out. I would also recommend going to the two biggest driving ranges in thailand: all-star or Sports City. they have dealers at the driving range that may have access to a launch monitor and many clubs.

Why don't you try 39golf.com I think they are located around sukhumvit rd. but the website will show you how to get there. They have vector launch monitor. Suppose to be accurate! Good luck

When it comes to Callaway, "Pan-West" is the distributor in the Southeast Asian region. Not sure if they've brought in the Opti-fit system into Thailand but they do have it in their Singapore and Malaysia offices. One of the best driving ranges in Bangkok (if you are going there) will be All-Star. That'll be your best bet for launch monitors.

Above posters are right, Thaniya Plaza is the place to go....but for buy and sell only. Got all brands, Japanese and US.

 

Sad to say, however, that you wont find a launch monitor there (not even at TransView Golf) and you can forget about opti fit. I visit Thaniya almost on a daily basis and in fact just came back from there during lunch. There is none.

 

Try 39 Golf. I've never been there. Heard good and bad things about that place.

 

Another place that comes to mind is called Super Sports. The company sells sporting goods and is well known for having the biggest and most current golf equipment section with a hitting net and Vector. Super Sports are mainly located in big shopping malls like Central (Chidlom and Ladprao branch) but also have stand alone outlet at places. You can hit taped up clubs (or demos) into the net and get your SS and launch angle measured, etc. etc. Their prices are competitive too. But that's as good as it gets. Do not expect an expert (not to mention certified) club fitting of any kind.

 

All Star is a fantastic driving range and a unique experience, especially, for a first timer. You'll get plenty of crowd, girls, cars, beers, etc. if you go there on weekday nights. There are approx a dozen golf showrooms with major brands (like Titliest, Cleveland, Tourstage...) there and you can demo. IMO, a cool place to demo clubs and hang out, worst place to practice. Again, I've never seen any launch monitor there.

 

So, someone else please enlighten. I've been waiting for too long now for a complete club fitting/launch monitor session....in Thailand.
