Trophy Club Country Club it will be!

Took a house hunting trip with the family to the Trophy Club/Keller/SouthLake area over the weekend with the hopes of checking out a couple of courses in the area.

 

My search began and ended at Trophy Club C.C. Got a tour of the course and clubhouse by Nate, the membership director, and was very impressed with everything I saw.

 

I was really impressed with the price of everything. Coming from the Mid-Atlantic (New Jersey) I know just how expensive golf memberships are. I could never afford one up here. I was shocked at how reasonable T.C.C.C is. It's a no-brainer. Now I can't wait to relocate and start playing!

Awesome! Enjoy it. They have two very fine (and walkable) courses.

So far as reciprosity is concerned, you should check out Hackberry Creek in Irving (about 20 minutes from TC) and Brookhaven in Farmers Branch.

I'll do that! I think i'm going to take advantage of the "one" membership program and play the courses that are close.

Im a member of Walnut Creek in Mansfield, and am a One Club member. So worth the money ..... add Las Colinas Country Club to the mix of the clubs Texagjosh suggested.

The One program is definitely worth it, but I think you need to add DFW Society to remove the radius restriction and gain access the the metroplex clubs. I'm at Oakmont and play as much as I can around town on it. A lot of courses, dining, and entertainment options with that combo.

Skip the ONE deal, and just get a fake ID that says you are under 40 or 35. Y-EX is the way to go.



You'll enjoy TC, it's a nice course with a nice facility. I like it alot because it's so forgiving off the tee, it lets me swing for the fences often.

You play there often? I joined a couple of weeks ago and will be going back out maybe next week, and of course i'm going to get a round in if I have time.

I have been talking with and toying with the idea of the one program, my wife is under 40 and I'm over
40. Can she put the membership in her name and I use it? She would rather use the other facilities for
business purposes.

I'm almost positive the "Young Executive" program requires both to be under 40.

I've played out there a few times. I'm YEX, so I venture up there occasionaly. Shoot me a message if you want someone to play with, I'll head up there.

For YEX, they go by the oldest member, but it never hurts to ask. There is some flexibility, but the deals aren't as good as they used to be so they may not work with you. The ONE deal has no relation to your age, but I don't actually think you can get it if you are YEX (only reason to would be the food discounts).

My home club is Walnut Creek CC and I'm also a ONE member.. IMO it is so worth the money as there are several ClubCorp owned courses in the DFW area that you can play for the cost of a cart.. I travel 80% for work and take my stix with me and play other ClubCorp courses thru out the country. My son is on the club swim team and travels to other ClubCorp clubs so having the One benifit cuts food cost by 50% when they are at swim meets. If your family is gonna be involved in club activities food/drinks add up quick so the additional cost of the ONE benifit is well worth it.
