New Callaway MuscleBack Blades!

I heard from the Callaway rep. that he saw the new product to be launched next year. I told him weeks ago that I am in the market for a new blade, and that I wished that Callaway made a muscle back blade.

 

HIS ANSWER, A COUPLE DAYS AGO, WAS THAT I WOULD NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

 

ANYONE ELSE HEARD OR SAW IT???

Yes it certainly looks that way and I for one am very angry at the way the Ben hogan brand has been tossed aside for callaway's benefit. I will never touch a Callaway piece of kit again. :D

 

Infact I am so angry about this I might just give away the hogan's I have for free. and start again next year with the new mizuno's coming out.

Problem is I live in England, my ftx set is now missing a 5 iron (someone found it on the 17th and never handed it in) and a 4 iron ftx which has a bent shaft and callaway want to charge me £44 for return service as they refuse to let club pro's fit new shaft's on hogan equipment. Both have been replaced, the 5 iron with a apex plus and the 4 iron with a apex 99 blade.

 

If you want to pay postage and packaging you might get yourself a deal.

I would love to see a nice forged muscleback iron from Callaway reminiscent of the old Callaway Edge blade.

Callaway Edge blade, I don't recall any such stick. When was it made? I would love to see a pic of it if anyone has one.

I had both. Still have the Bobby Jones but the Edge irons left a long time ago at the right price. Wish I still had them. The BJ have a great shape but terrible feel, the Edge irons had a very small head, great shape, but lacked in feel as well. Only reason I would have still liked to have them would have been nostalgia.

 

Made a nice 6X price on them that was hard to resist. I would say that was in 1993 or 1994 when I bought and sold them. The Blonde Persimmon Callaway woods that I had at the time were nice too. Sadly no photos, just memories.

The Hogan brand won't be going away, it may be morphed yet again but I have talked to numerous folks at Callaway and they have all assured me that Callaway will not get rid of the Hogan Apex as long as they own Hogan.
